I’m going to run the 27th Spar Budapest Marathon to be held on 7 October, this year, with a charitable purpose. I joined the runner community of Bátor Tábor Foundation organizing therapeutic recreation camping programmes for severely ill children. Our aim is to collect donations amounting to 150 000 Forint. Please, help our campaign: sponsor a mile of our run!

27. Spar Budapest Maraton
7th October, 2012
Bátor Tábor Foundation (literally, Camp of Courage) organises therapeutic recreation camping programmes for children with cancer and other chronic diseases. More than 700 seriously ill children have the opportunity to take part in cheerful programmes rich in sense of accomplishment each year. The programme helps them to improve their self image and self confidence, improve their self-esteem and strengthen their faith in recovery. And that, besides medicines, is badly needed to overcome disease. One of our campers once said: „Bátor Tábor is a machine, in which children are thrown, and a healthier, happier and more courageous child comes out.”
You can help these children by sponsoring one mile of my marathon by donating directly to Bátor Tábor Foundation. With your help another child in need gets a chance to gain life changing experience at camp. As a side-effect I get a drop of extra motivation to take another step on the 7th of October during my 2nd Marathon run! Thanks for your help!
